Born with great vision in farmers family located in small village named Emekond, and completed his schooling from VidyaMandir School. When fairly young, he was inspired by the mother’s food in native to pursue his love of food, he used to be volunteer apprentice in home kitchen, under the auspicious guidance of his mother. Later with his great efforts and hard work he completed his management study with aiming high towards his career. His passion and devotion towards becoming Chef took him too many cities and countries for further culinary education, training and professional career from which the cruise line experience took him to different level and maturity. Chef Dev Kasalkar was born on 1st June, 1982, in Emekond, Maharashtra India. After completing his culinary education he exposed himself to cooking at age of 19. At the age of 21 he was a part of cruise line industry as a Continental – Italian Chef. He also known for his excellent Italian & continental cooking skill.
After spending 10 years in Star Hotels & Cruise Line Industry as a Chef he realized the need of professional culinary education to the Hotel Management Student of Kolhapur… He started Chef's Kitchen Institute to build up the strong background of the candidate who were willing to start their new journey in the hospitality industry…

Chef Dev Kasalkar Managing Director of Chefs Kitchen Institute & Vice President of Young Chefs Associations of India. His passion and interest in the culinary field made him excel a lot in this field. He has won many culinary awards, and the best one is IFCA National Award Best Culinary Educator 2019 & 2017 at VIII International Chef Conference Delhi for being an outstanding culinary pioneer who is continuously inspiring the younger generation of chefs. In 2019 awarded chef entrepreneur of the year by WICA at chefs connect. Awarded City Ka Sitara Kolhapur 2018 by Radio City 95 FM. Participated as a jury member at IFCA Sial India – National Culinary Competition 2019, Team judge at young chef’s challenge - Abu Dhabi by- Emirate Culinary Guild.
Chef Dev represented India in the young chef’s challenge at Abu Dhabi, UAE in the year 2018 with bronze medal winning presentation. As a team coach won many awards & medals in national & international young chef’s competitions. He has also represented IFCA in the world chef’s conference at Kuala Lumpur in 2018.
Also he is also a member of many chefs association. Attended more than 15 various chefs conference in India & abroad. Currently Chef Dev Kasalkar is mentoring a lot of young chefs across the country. Chef Dev is a Indian chef and the host of cooking shows on public television. He is also an author, hotelier.

His consulting mastery involves Hotel, Restaurant, Bakery Confectionary, Catering & Canteen with Concept Planning, Feasibility Report, Kitchen & Restaurant Designing, Menu planning- printing, Selection of Manpower as per requirement, Procurement of Equipment's, Production & service, Staff Training as per menu and service, Systems & Procedure.
He successfully completed - 4 Indian restaurant n bar, 4 Specialty Kolhapuri restaurant, 3 Bakery and Pastry centralized kitchen and shops, 2 Industrial canteens, in Kolhapur region.
